Gently hammer the screwdriver along one edge into the can, not too deep, then turn the blade almost parrallel and tap all around the can just inside the lip. You only go about 1/8 inch each time. Be patient and don't damage the boxes inside and don't go deep in the can on the improbable chance you hit a primer.
You really only need to cut about halfway around, then peel the metal back and unload the ammo boxes or packs.

How to open a can with a key?
I don't know what it's called, but it's a corned beef can with a key that hangs from it's side.
I don't know if I should twist it left or right? Or something else. I don't want to force it because I might break the handle from where the key hangs, if I was to twist from there.

The inside release lever does not work: it opens freely, but does not tighten up the cord. However, I cannot pull the cord much further (even with pliers) and the hood does not pop up. My Ford Explorer's back door handle broke. It cannot be opened from the outside. I had engaged the child lock several days prior and now can't figure out how to open the door from the inside or out. ok, I'm 24 and I live in a mobile home with my dad, and we don't have ac because we're trying to save on electric bill (we are both out of work)...also we can't afford to buy a fan right now, so we just open windows when it's hot, and we will probably need to continue to do this all summer. So here's the thing. We only open the windows that have screens in them, and some of the screens do have holes at the bottom, but we taped over these holes and there doesn't seem to be any opening where flies could get in. Likewise, even if there does just happen to be some opening somewhere, are you REALLY telling me that flies would go out of their way to happen to find this opening and would actually go out of their way to come in here through that opening? Like why would they even do that?

How long is recovery after open heart surgery?
I'm 21 years old, fairly fit, healthy lifestyle, trampoline competitively 3 times a week and am very active. A few months ago I was diagnosed with Coarctation of the Aorta. I have to have surgery in June where they are going to remove the part of my aorta which has narrowed and replace it with a tube.
I have been told that I will be recovering for up to 6 weeks after which I will be able to resume trampolining again. I am wary of this as most of the doctors I've met have sugar coated a lot and I am unsure how much to trust what they say. It was diagnosed due to obscenely high blood pressure, peaking at 190/110.

How to get rid of McAfee Antivirus?
I have a much better and less annoying anti virus system and when I try and get rid of it, I get tons of messages saying, McAfee is open in another program, so I'd go into the task manager and stop any and all task, and still I can't delete it, something to do with me not having administrative permission. It's only being a nuisance and it pops up at the most inopportune times.

I don't believe in love (partially because my father moved as far away from me as he could possibly get, and the only aspects of love I grew up seeing was my mother crying over man after man, and when she finally found the right one, he died). In a way, this makes me self sufficient, and I never trust anybody but myself, because I learned in time that people always disappoint you. I can't trust, so I can't love, which isn't so bad, because I hate belonging to just one person or being obligated to anybody. But somehow I'm absolutely crazy about this guy, and I hate that he has that kind of power over me. He's walked all over me, too. He cheated on me twice, but I took him back, cause he was honest about it, and he spent the rest of our relationship playing mind games (He feels it gives him power, he's really just a weak little boy inside). Being like me, scared shitless of getting attached, he kept pushing me away till I broke it off, on which occasion he said that he never loved me, and probably never would, and that our relationship was purely for sex (Not true, I slept with him only after 3 months of the relationship, and every time I broke it off during that time, he'd beg for me back). So now we're friends with benefits. I know how it sounds, but he's not a complete asshole, I know he still cares about me, but if he asks for me back then he's the weak one. I have an inconsiderate roommate who likes to use the garage door instead of front door and he leaves it open for long periods of time as well. I'd like to know how much our heating bill is affected with the door open all the time (its low 40s now in my area). Our garage door is the kind the rolls up, not the kind that are a solid door that opens upwards. The rolling upwards at least does not create a whosh of the warmer garage air out.
Our garage is attached to our livingroom, and kitchen. Our home is EXTREMELY well insulated. The back of the garage is attached to a VERY large sunroom. The sunroom has solar gain during the day, and heats up. This in turn provides some heat, and extra wind insulation for our garage.
If we leave the garage door open too long, or the wind is blowing from the North (directly into our garage), it will make the gas stove in the livingroom kick on. As I stated, we have an extremely well insulated house.
I don't think opening and closing the garage door is as much of a problem, as long as it is opened, and then CLOSED. Leaving it open does cut down on the extra insualtion all that trapped air would provide, since it's probably a few degrees warmer than the outside temperature.
We solved this problem at our house, by installing one of those keypads outside the garage door. Now it's easy for people to open or close the door, without a remote from the car.

I use a SmartBro wireless broadband in our house. I'm having difficulty getting a good connection with BitTorrent, as there is no incoming network connection. It keeps telling me to open up a port. I don't understand what it is i have done for this to happen. I have some poems saved in my Documents (they are Open Office writer files) but when i go to open some of them it won't let me. How can I open a fluorescent light fixture in a drop ceiling?
This is a drop ceiling in a 70s era basement. The fluorescent fixtures are recessed into the ceiling with plastic covers that the light shines through. It's the typical flourescent fixture. I thought one side would have a hinge and the other side would drop down, allowing you to get to the bulbs. But I've tried many times and can't figure out how to get it open. Neither side seems to open easily. One side has what looks like metal clips that I assumed were holding the non-hinged side in place, but they don't seem to come loose.How can I open a fluorescent light fixture in a drop ceiling?

My key is not fitting the boot very well. Apparently, it's been overused, and the locking mechanism doesn't work satisfactorily with the key. It opens only after lots of efforts (sometimes 15 minutes!).

How to open a can with a key?
I don't know what it's called, but it's a corned beef can with a key that hangs from it's side.
I don't know if I should twist it left or right? Or something else. I don't want to force it because I might break the handle from where the key hangs, if I was to twist from there.

When you feed the little metal strip into the hole, turn the key gently, winding the strip of metal around the tip of the key. winding up the strip will pull the strip away from the top of the can, releasing the top of the can. you will end up with that little metal strip wrapped tightly around the end of the key and the top of the can will come off. It has been years since I have actually done this and it is harder to write the instructions than show you, darn it! I hope this works for you and that I am thinking of the right little key thing. When I get an email with a hyperlink (say an evite) through Outlook and I click the link, it will always use my currently-open internet window and redirect to the new page. Didn't you guys see the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks? It's a must see for all of those planning to be marooned on a deserted island. I think you could probably beat a coconut against a rock all day and you won't get very far. First you have to remove the husk. I believe our hero used a shell or rock to cut it with the grain (top to bottom). He then just peeled the husk off (although it did require some effort). Now you're ready to crack that open with a rock and have yourself a little coconut feast.
However, let's not forget about learning how to build a fire and while we're at it we may have to work on our self-dentistry in case we're there for a long time.

Nature does it by dropping the coconut from the top of the tree onto rocks ..... You just have to be there right after it hits..... or climb the tree and drop the ripest one from the top of the tree onto the rocks yourself.... Just don't sit under a coconut tree.....

Didn't you guys see the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks? It's a must see for all of those planning to be marooned on a deserted island. I think you could probably beat a coconut against a rock all day and you won't get very far. First you have to remove the husk. I believe our hero used a shell or rock to cut it with the grain (top to bottom). He then just peeled the husk off (although it did require some effort). Now you're ready to crack that open with a rock and have yourself a little coconut feast.
However, let's not forget about learning how to build a fire and while we're at it we may have to work on our self-dentistry in case we're there for a long time.

You can smash and cut with solid and sharp rocks. The best way to extract the milk is to puncture one of the dark round dents of the coconut, and drink the clear milk.

the best thing is to use a pointed rock to crack open the husk. save it, you can use it for firestarting material. then the inner seed has three dark spots. use your pointed rock, pierce, drink the ';milk';. tap around the circumference and crack to get to the coconut meat.

If that fails, the next step would be to delete the app and reinstall it. This one was accustomed to being with his mom and litter mates and he is simply lonely after being separated from them. Get him an animal toy and if possible at night put a wind up type of clock that ticks in his bed.
He just needs time to adjust so spend as much time as possible with him. Unless you plan to move to a house with a yard, you might reconsider trying to keep a German Shepherd in an apartment. But as he grows older please be sure that you take him for many long walks, early morning for at least 30 minutes, noon time try to find a place where he can run and play for about an hour or more, and repeat this in late afternoon. Before going to bed, take him for another long walk.

I've met a lot of insecure German Shepherd puppies. You have the potential in this dog to have a dual problem. The dog may have what is known as a high guarding drive which will lead the dog as an adult to be aggressive towards strangers in your household (not necessarily the ones you want the dog to be aggressive towards). That coupled with a less secure nature will result in a dog more prone to biting. I've seen this very situation play out in a dog and the people ended up putting thousands of dollars in training to help resolve the issue.
You have an advantage in that you are at a great point to raise this dog to get past his insecurities. Here is my prescription. First, enroll the dog in a puppy class. German Shepherds need more socialization than other breeds, and a ';good'; puppy class is a great place to do that. Second, begin your training of this dog right away. When I work with less secure dogs, I find that beginning basic training helps with the insecurity, especially when I teach the stay command. Ironically, less secure dogs can be more difficult to train to stay. Below is a link to a page with a youtube video which tells you how to teach the ';stay'; command to a less secure dog. The dog will also do well if you work on the info in the video on separation anxiety.

My file keeps going to Microsoft XML converter to open in?
My file is a .docx and it uses Microsoft 2007 to open it, but when the icon for it is a file thing with ';DOCX'; written on it, not the normal ';W'; for the normal icon. I changed it's default program to Word, but it changes to XML when I check. How do I fix the icon and default program?

There is a Gamestore, ';GameCrazy'; where I live. Gamecrazy is affiliated with ';Hollywood Video'; the holldywood video by me is closing, so therefore gamecrazy is as well. Ive called in numbers, left messages with directors, and all sorts of stuff, wrote a letter to them through a survey. and its only been 4 days but i only have a month and a half.
I need to know how to KEEP this store open, im a regular customer and im probably going to start a petition and get as many names as I can. this store has been here 7 years and I dont want it to leave. They have the BEST prices around and the BEST service, everyone there is a great friend of mine and I cant let this place go under just because its attached to an affiliate company.
when I call in they all say that there is nothing i can do, BUT I KNOW BETTER.
one person can make a difference and I wont let this place get shut down. but I do need help and know-how. so please tell me what steps I must take to ensure this place stays!

They're closing about 1/3 of all their stores, not all of them. There should be a Hollywood Video/GameCrazy store that will stay open (if they've decided to keep servicing your area at all.)

They're perfectly willing to sacrifice some consumer goodwill and marketshare just to keep the company afloat. Also, management is no longer in control of the company. Company creditors and the bankruptcy court have to approve all actions like keeping specific (usually money-losing) stores open.
About all you can do is to try to buy out the store, name, and assets, and run it yourself. Hollywood Video does offer franchise opportunities. You'd have to buy one and get them to agree to keep it in the location that is closing. (At that point, you're no longer acting as a customer, but as an owner.)

How to deal with Bathtime terror? And how long did it last?
Our son(almost18months) has started to be terrified of the bath. He doesnt even need to be in it as soon as i start running it he starts screeching and tearing around the apartment so i cant catch him. Nothing happened in the bath to scare him it was literally one night all good the next was like we put him into lava and its been like that since...We tried bubbles, playing in it first, getting in with him, koolaid to make the water a diff color....EVERYTHING!!!....Our oldest went thru this but the koolaid worked with her to get over it and she was older so she was more open to listening to reason whereas he just screams and hes got a SUPER set of lungs on him....anyone have any tips to deal with this? And if your child went thru it how long did it take for them to come back around? He really loved the bath before this started.....How to deal with Bathtime terror? And how long did it last?

What worked was my oldest daughter, age 9 (bless her heart) of her own free will, put on her bathing suit and came in to the bathroom once and said, You want to get in with me? Honestly, it is fear of getting sucked down the drain. Try a kiddie pool or small baby bath tub and just fill it in the sink first, then dump it in the sink when you are done.
I was afraid of the drain when I was a little kid. I thought I could go down it! Did one of his toys go down? My nephew got scared because one of his toys went down and it freaked him out. I would explain to him that it is safe, that you wouldn't let anything happen to him and try to really excited and be like ';Guess what? You get to take bath now with mommy! How fun! Let's go!'; and try to be upbeat and calm about it.
I would say get in the bath with him for a while and let him bring a toy into the tub as well. There are crayons that you can get for in the tub. Also, if he had favorite songs, or songs about taking a bath that would be good so you guys can listen to those songs and learn about how taking a bath is fun. Squirt guns are fun too! I call them ';rocket ships'; so it's not like a ';gun'; in his mind. He will grow out of it, just don't make a big deal, and go with the flow and act like everything is ok and he will too eventually. Don't bargin with him, but remain calm. He probably is just starting to not want to go to bed and this is how he's showing it!

What works best for me when dealing with the head wash phobia is just to get it over as quickly as possible. The longer and more dramatic the build-up, the worse. I've spent several minutes trying to reassure a child, and it has only increased the anxiety. In general, I find that anxiety increases any time a toddler is allowed to engage in a debate over a contentious issue. The longer you let him scream, the more he gets upset. Just finish the bath as quickly as possible. You can speak to him in a reassuring tone as you go along, but move quickly.
One thing to keep in mind is that the bath doesn't need to be filled to the top to get him clean. I only fill it that much because children enjoy playing in it. To get him clean, all you really need is a source for wetting and rinsing. This can be a bucket full of warm water, a shallow bath, or a shower head.
