My computer won't boot up. At all?

Long story short, my computer had a pretty bad virus and I figured out how to get rid of it. I got rid of it but I guess not completely, eventually when I got on my account everything was ';IE.exe could not be opened, pick a program from the list to open it with.'; But that occured to like everything like my C drive, photoshop, etc.

Now my computer won't boot up at all. I left it alone for like a month+ and my brother got me a new windows xp OS cd to install, and it won't even boot up. I tried safe mode and everything but it's not going through. Now the screen says that the ';Drive 1 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-2'; and it gives me the option of going to continue with f1 and f2 to setup utility. When I hit f1 I get a black screen, and f2 I can go to the setup but I don't know what to do! HALP.My computer won't boot up. At all?
tap F2 then look at your boot up options. try selecting your DVD drive to boot up first and restart your computer with the appropriate disk. If that dosnt work you need to look for the repair windows section (think you need to tap F8 to get this section up) go to repair windows then insert disk as directed. You should write down any changes you make to your system so you can reverse them if necessary this might help http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/startup-repair-frequently-asked-questionsMy computer won't boot up. At all?
Seems that your motherboard drivers are messed up. There's not much else to do except take it to a repair shop where they MIGHT be able to do something. If they arent able to, then you've got no option other than to (unfortunately) go and get another computer.

And this time, i suggest getting a mac. Unlike windows PC's, Macs CANT get viruses.

people claim PC's are cheaper, and that's true UP FRONT. in the long run, they cost a lot more (annoying upgrades, ridiculous software ripoffs, viruses etc.) and you have to replace them a lot sooner. I've had my first mac since about 4 years ago, and its still as fast as it was the day i got it. never had a problem since.
