So for a school project to finish our apartheid unit i am doing a photo essay about the power of youth to change society, and their duty to do so. This means I need some ideas of how i can depict this theme throughout my essay. I can use symbolism or not. I need about 4 more ideas. Below is what I already have:
1) a chess set with the black pawns surrounded by all of the white ones.
this shows how it was during apartheid
2) all chess pieces intermixed to show how it is now
3) an endless road to symbolize the journey it takes to transform society
4)3 doors 1 white, 1 grey, and 1 white with the grey one 1/2 open to symbolize how change happened.
5) one person walking down the street in the opposite direction of everyone else to show how change only takes 1 person
6) a lock on a gate
7) the lock being cut to show that the boundaries that society conforms to can be broken
8)
9)
10)
11)
I need help filling 8-11. please give me your ideas on how to depict changeCan youth change society?
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world.
Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
