Compressed file help!?

So all I was trying to do is get a compressed folder that had music within it to upload onto my Windows media library but it wont take it (GRRRrrrrr..). So then I right clicked the folder and under the';Open with'; tab I pressed windows media player. NOW!! it just turned every single compressed folder to open with windows media player (WHich doesnt work!) How do I restore all the compressed files just to open up as they once would, where it would show what was inside the folder instead of it just trying to upload the whole folder onto windows media player!!!! GRRRR!!! x 3.

Please help. Any answers that are useful would be highly appreciated!Compressed file help!?
If you don't have a zip application or similar you should still have an option on the right-click menu saying ';extract all';.

See if that is still there.

If it is then simply select ';extract all'; and let windows extract the contents before you try to play it.

If it doesn't work then you only have yourself to blame. All that Grrr and GRRRR X3 should be reserved for yourself.Compressed file help!?
If you don't have an archiver. Download 7-zip from here ( http://www.7-zip.org/ ) and install it. It's free...

Then Right Click on the compressed folder and go to OPEN WITH.

Select 7-Zip File Manager from under Programs. Check the ';Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'; and click OKAY.

Now you can extract the files from the compressed folder. And it will also change the settings of all the compressed files.
