How do I use the can opener with my can to open my ammo can?
This is a stupid question but I'm having a hell of a time popping my ammo cans open with the opener that came with them. It's not the type that uses a key, just the opener. I got an old big flat blade screwdriver and make a flat chisel point with my dremel tool, or a grinder or file will work.
Gently hammer the screwdriver along one edge into the can, not too deep, then turn the blade almost parrallel and tap all around the can just inside the lip. You only go about 1/8 inch each time. Be patient and don't damage the boxes inside and don't go deep in the can on the improbable chance you hit a primer.
You really only need to cut about halfway around, then peel the metal back and unload the ammo boxes or packs.

the 1200+ can of 7.62 X 39 I bought was in a soldered can...
no opener. I used a broken M1 bayonet to peel it open:
messy but effective.
I am going to back up the P-38, I have my first one still on my key chine.
That is a handy tool.

How to open a can with a key?
I don't know what it's called, but it's a corned beef can with a key that hangs from it's side.
I don't know if I should twist it left or right? Or something else. I don't want to force it because I might break the handle from where the key hangs, if I was to twist from there.
Any suggestions how to open this?

take the key off the can. Along the side, against the top of the can you will see a small strip of metal that will fit exactly into the tip of the key with the Little hole in it. When you feed the little metal strip into the hole, turn the key gently, winding the strip of metal around the tip of the key. winding up the strip will pull the strip away from the top of the can, releasing the top of the can. you will end up with that little metal strip wrapped tightly around the end of the key and the top of the can will come off. It has been years since I have actually done this and it is harder to write the instructions than show you, darn it! I hope this works for you and that I am thinking of the right little key thing. How to open PVC double glazed window all the way?
The window is able to swing outward from its vertical position but it is going upto only few centimeter away from its position.
I have seen other windows open all the way from vertical postion to horizontal position.
All windows of my house is not opening all the way so it is not look like jam.
It is Awning kind of window.

As you open your window, look at the sliding mechanism, as the window 'clicks into it's open position, you should see a small plastic clip that does the 'clicking', if you press that clip in (it's usally black), it should allow you to open the window wider.
